Who We Are
So many animals end up in shelters not because they’re unwanted, but because their families are going through illness, disability, financial strain, or other circumstances that make daily care feel impossible. What breaks my heart most is that these pets often don’t understand why their world suddenly changes — why the person they adored isn’t there anymore.
This foundation exists to make sure fewer pets have to experience that kind of loss.
Our mission is to step into the gap for both sides of the bond: the people who love their pets and the pets who desperately want to stay with their people.
We offer practical, hands-on support to help families stay intact during vulnerable times — things like walking, playtime, homemade meals, light grooming, and waste removal — all at no cost for those who qualify. It’s a small way to prevent unnecessary heartbreak while giving pets what they need most: to stay home, with the people they trust.
For now, our services focus mainly on dogs and cats — simply because that’s where the need is greatest and what we can reasonably support in our early stages. But as we grow, our long-term hope is to expand this care to all companion animals. Every pet deserves safety, stability, and love, and we want to build a future where no family has to give up their animal for lack of support.
At its core, Cecil & Lenore isn’t just a service. It’s a promise — a commitment to supporting pets and the people who love them.
